As a former Kindergarten teacher, when I started researching local preschools for my son, I came with a list full of questions! In my opinion, the staff at Mundelein Cooperative Preschool answered each of them perfectly! Now that my son is an "alumnus" of MCP, we often talk about his old preschool and the fun times he had there. My son loved his preschool experience and absolutely adored his teachers! He was definitely well prepared for Kindergarten academically and socially. I highly recommend MCP to anyone looking for a first rate preschool!

"Mundelein Cooperative Preschool was the perfect environment for my children to learn and grow during their early childhood years. "Mundelein Cooperative Preschool was a huge part of my family's life for 6 years. We sent 3 children to MCP and loved every moment. The teachers were kind and caring for my children. They treated each one as the individual they were. Each one was loved and nurtured in a special way that made them enjoy school and learning.

Not only did my children benefit. This stressed out Mom found a family. The staff at the school were my mentors. They helped me be a better parent by setting a good example with the children. I met lifetime friends that still are such an important part of my life.

The cooperative model was perfect for me and my children. I was so glad to be a part of my kid's day and learn what they did during the time they were away from me. It helped them separate and it helped me let them go a little slower!

"When we moved to this area a little over 3 years ago, we were unfamilar with the kinds of preschool programs offered, thus began our search for a nurturing, developmentally appropriate, play-based preschool program for our young children. Over the course of a couple weeks, we visited many preschools in the surrounding area. As a parent and teacher, it was imperative for our children to be in an environment that stimulated growth intellectually, socially and emotionally. "Finding a high-quality preschool for my son was extremely important to me. I sought a school where he would feel comfortable so that he could play among other children. He had never been apart from his family, and I knew it would take a caring environment to make a smooth transition into becoming a happy preschooler. After a family friend recommended Mundelein Cooperative Preschool (MCP), I observed a class one morning. I immediately felt a sense of comfort throughout the room; from the fun-loving teachers to the spacious, child-centered layout of the classroom. As a new parent to MCP, I appreciate the attention I have received from the board members and the staff. Each morning we are greeted with a smile at the door. My son's lead teacher takes the time to extensively answer my questions, offering both her professional and personal wisdom. The dedication and compassion she has toward the preschool is also evident in the detailed lesson plans which are available to every parent on a daily basis. She always remembers to keep the interests of the children at the center of everything they do.

Being in a cooperative preschool enables me to parent aide periodically. I treasure each opportunity I get to experience a typical preschool day with my son.
