4-5 Year Old Class
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
AM 9:00-11:30 or PM 12:30-3:00
In the MWF classes (designed for 4 year olds turning 5) we continue our growth in language and social development, preparing for kindergarten and working on classroom expectations and procedures. We develop educational skills needed for kindergarten such as:

Recognition of letters and their corresponding sounds

Auditory and visual recognition of each letter

Phonemic awareness (rhyming, onset and final phonemes, blending and segmenting)

Number and shape classifying

Understanding relationships between numbers

Scientific method: skills in hypothesizing, investigating, measuring, and drawing conclusions are all acquired through play-based learning

Fine motor development and creativity is learned through art projects
Our mantra is “See it, hear it and do it”, which ensures children are not just memorizing data, but fully integrating information in their brain. All this in addition to building community, learning valuable conflict resolution skills and developing relationships makes this class a perfect transition into Kindergarten!
Students must be 4 by September 1st in order to be enrolled in the AM class.
Enrollment is capped at 14 children.
